Located to the North of Cozumel, this wall and its reef featur exceptionnal scenery, though it can be treacherous due to enormous currents (typical from the North side): past this site there are no more islands or shelter, it's the open sea! It's not uncommon to drift out for several miles, so make sure you have enough experience to engage into this dive with a small group. The Port Captain monitors the area and restricts it when safety standards aren't met for the day.
Even when the conditions are right, the current runs between 2 and 3 knots, and down currents are frequent. Those challenging conditions attract lots of pelagics and sharks... have fun but be careful!
