Our opinion on Euro Divers Eriyadu:
On a small island of sand in the middle of the Indian Ocean, the island of Eriyadu has a unique charm about it. Surrounded by a beautiful lagoon, it is located in the west of the North Male atoll in the Maldives. The island mainly welcomes tourists residing at the Eriyadu island resort, where the Euro Divers diving centre is located.
On Eriyadu island, time goes by at its own pace, in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. With only a small accommodation capacity, the resort is a haven of peace... and freedom paradise for divers! Those who go there have indeed the possibility to dive on the "housereef" at any time of the day, from 8am to 6pm. An "open dive" format, as it were, made possible by the exemplary organisation of the diving centre. Run by three instructors, Euro Divers Eriyadu provides lockers and rental diving equipment for the duration of the stay. All you have to do is write your name on the board, get equipped and get into the water from the beach or from the pier. To visit the more remote dive sites available, you must register the day before, to give the staff time to prepare the blocks and install them on the boat. The sites are relatively close, and it is relatively easy to observe Sharks, Rays and Turtles that live in the Maldives!
The proposed dives are very diverse due to the richness of the sites and it is even possible to do fluo dives where you will be equipped with special lamps, you have the oppertunity observe the bioluminescence of the fauna and flora once the night comes. Snorkeling trips are possible on request, with or without a guide. On the PADI training side of things, which is available here in English, French, German and Spanish, the centre offers courses from Bubblemaker to Dive Master. Water activities such as kayaking, catamaran, jet skiing and water skiing are offered.
Perched on stilts in the middle of the lagoon, the Euro Divers Eriyadu dive centre will delight divers who are looking for both the freedom to dive when they want and where they want, and the ability to get away to visit sites covered with life in complete safety! Recommended by TribloO!
