Our opinion on Favone Plongee Diving Center:
On Favone's beach, in the South of Corsica, there is a diving centre that operates in a unique way. Warm and family, the Favone Plongee diving club operates from a wooden hut built on the sand. Jean-Claude, cheerful and friendly boss, is known to everyone for his knowledge of the region and his professionalism as an instructor. But he is also known for his family spirit: breaks are taken around a large table where divers and instructors have coffee and it is not uncommon for some to stay even for lunch. Moreover, here, we are not saying that we are going to dive at Favone Plongee, we are saying that we are going to "Jean-Claude's house".
Located a few metres from clear turquoise water, the diving centre is also a few minutes by boat from fabulous diving sites. Indeed, Favone Bay has very rich and fishy seabeds, accessible to beginners. The deeper sites of the Pyramids and the Hole in Corbs (trou à Corbs), which contain large cicadas, have much to offer experienced divers.
Equipped with two boats that can accommodate 15 and 21 people, the diving centre offers exploration dives from 7am, from May to October. Between 3 and 4 outings are planned per day and can be adapted to the divers' desires. Night dives are also available on request, on moonless nights, to observe the fluorescent plankton in all its splendour. FFESSM training is possible up to Level 3. As for groups, they are welcome, from 15 to 36 people, subject to self-supervision. Equipped with 2 compressors, Favone Plongée is located near free parking lots and surrounded by restaurants at very affordable prices.
Sharing and passion, these are the two watchwords at the Favone Plongée diving centre. With its team of competent and always cheerful instructors, the centre welcomes both beginners and large groups of experienced divers in a Spanish hostel atmosphere. Approved by TribloO.com!
