Our opinion on Plongée Caraïbes dive center
Faithful to the island of St Barth's reputation for luxury, catamaran and dive center Plongée Caraïbes truly lives up to such standards with its top of the line on-board facilities, dream dive boat, attentive, professional staff, and beautiful and peaceful dive sites. Diving in St Barth’s may put a dent in the bank balance but surely a visit to the Island of Billionaires is worth the trip at least once in your lifetime?!
You will quickly get used to the comforts of this luxury catamaran, Blue Cat and dive center Plongée Caraïbes will go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy every minute of your trip. With no more than a dozen divers on board on a boat that could easily accommodate 30, just goes to show you the type of comfort you’ll be in.
Enjoy your first dive in Aquarium des Gros Islets or a day trip to Colombier beach. Lie back and soak up the Caribbean sun on one of the boats two bridges, play on the trampoline or enjoy a refreshing shower after the dives and a drink at the bar. Snorkelling, free diving, fun diving or dive courses are also on offer. Learn to dive or continue your education with PADI or FFESSM. Thierry and his team are always available for your questions or concerns.
Once the boat is moored get ready to enjoy sightings of eagle rays, turtles, grey reef sharks, nurse sharks, and big eyed jacks at the famous dive site The Sugar Loaf ( Le pain sucre) If you want to take advantage of an even smaller group of divers, head of to Colombier Wall (Le Tombant Colombier) and enjoy schools of huge tarpons, or drift dive at Ile Fourchue. There are also four wrecks to explore within the marine reserve or some wilder unspoilt sites around Coco Island.
Get ready for some serious pampering with Plongée Caraïbes whilst diving in the best diving conditions and on the best sites in the Caribbean. With a distance of only 40 minutes from Saint Martin, you’ll even be given the choice, if conditions are favourable, to head off for a short day trip or stay close by.
