Our opinion on Aqua Cat Cruises diving liveaboard Bahamas:
Have you ever dreamed of cruising the Bahamas on board a luxury liveaboard dive boat? Well if you have, that dream is soon to become very real as you will be navigating through tropical islands, sitting on a 3 deck yatch with Aqua Cat Cruises! Departing from Nassau, the capital city of the Bahamas, the 31m long catamaran can cater for up to 30 divers. The spacious 11 cabins are fitted with AC and individual bathroom, and welcome a third bedding if required. Midship, one will find a vast lounge room with a wooden floor and a flat screen TV. This very room opens onto a diner and a bar: and yes, the cruises are all-inclusive! All the delicious meals are prepared by a chef and served buffet style. On the upper deck, the terrace is the place to be for the sun worshippers and a great place to chill out. You've probably got the picture by now: luxury diving in the Bahamas, nothing less!
On the Aqua Cat Cruises cat, no minimum diving experience is required, though it is recommended to hold a PADI Open Water ticket or a PADI Advanced before you embark. Diving courses of all levels are held during the trip by the 5 instructors: they can teach PADI, CMAS, NAUI, SSI and BSAC courses as well as Nitrox, night and wreck diving, so you are all set! A typical week cruise sports 25 dives on average... An intense week of diving that will give you plenty of opportunities to get familiar with the awesome Exumas islands and/or the reef conservation project Aqua Cat Cruises are a partner of, along with Miami University. Every month a certified or a trainee marine biologist will be on board to give you detailled insights on the marine life!
As for the dive gear, the catamaran is equipped with just about everything one would need for such a week of adventure, plus a speed boat and rental dive gear. There aren't any snorkeling gear available, so bring your own! There are kayaks, stand up paddle boards and even tubes for pulling behind the 28’ jet boat, SEA DOG! Each day, you will be offered the chance to visit one of the beautiful Exuma Cays for an interesting eco-adventure. Feed the iguanas on Allen’s Cay, hike the trails on Warderick Wells to the famous blow holes, visit Camp Driftwood for some beach time plus many more activities! The spot on service and a constant attention for the divers' well being has TribloO recommending Aqua Cat Cruises for you and your family. Do not hesitate, dive in!
