Our opinion on Excelsus Dive Center:

30 years old - wow! This is how long Excelsus Dive Center on Reunion Island, has been around! Located in St Leu on the west coast of the island, the quality of customer service, friendly and happy atmosphere and loyal return customers explains why they’ve managed to be around for so long! 

Gregory has been the dive center owner and manager since 2010. He spent 20 years in Le Havre and 10 in the capital before receiving the opportunity of a life time - to buy a dive center on Reunion Island! So, he jumped on a plane for the first time, resigned from his day job and previous life, trained his way up 4 diving levels and headed to Reunion Island with his wife and child!

Located right on the harbour, Excelsus has been fully renovated to ensure a comfortable, welcoming environment for guests as well as quality dive equipment for the  divers. A new Bauer membrane compressor was installed which enables them to offer their divers air or nitrox at the same price. 

The whole world talks about diving  in Reunion Island and with this in mind, Gregory had an idea which he shared amongst the other dive centers on the island: to create a new world record for the longest human underwater chain. Along with his idea and the cooperation of the other dive enters, the record was achieved with over 110 divers participating! 

Visitors to Reunion Island want to see whales up close and Excelsus makes this dream a reality. They also organise free diving (apena) training in association with ANMP/FFESSMM. Each month new dive themes are offered so if you have a special request don’t by shy, just ask them!

During the week the dive center is open from 8.30am to 7.00pm. Saturday from 7.45am - 1.00pm and Sunday 10.00am - 1.00pm
