Our opinion on Blue Water Dive Cove:
Blue Water Dive Cove is located in the charming village of Qala on Gozo Island in Malta. Qala is a peaceful village away from the loud busy tourist spots and is a special place for Franco, the dive center manager, who returned here to his childhood home, several years ago, with the intention of sharing the underwater wonders of Malta with divers from around the world!
Blue Water is PADI 5* Dive Center with a team of multi-lingual dive instructors and can comfortably accommodate up to 20 divers at at time. Group sizes are small of no more than 5 divers and dive sites are varied and beautiful. Dives are done around Gozo Island, Hondoq Bay and Comino Island between mainland Malta and Gozo and are often dive sites that are known only to Franco! A diver here in his youth, Franco knows the best spots for underwater caves and wreck diving and is a knowledgable and passionate guide!
The dive team are friendly and helpful and will gladly assist you in finding accommodation close by and booking a taxi for you. The dive center has mostly Aqualungdive equipment as well as snorkellingequipment for non divers. Blue Water Dive Cove regularly organise day trips which include 3 dives and lunch. If you have the chance to dive with Franco, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the macro life in the area as well as lots of stories of the local shipwrecks! but no matter which of the instructors you have guiding you, rest assured that you’ll be in safe hands and will have a fantastic experience!
