Our opinion of Palawan Divers – El Nido
Palawan Divers is not your ordinary dive center. Located in the village of El Nido, on Palawan Island, in the Philippines, you can discover here the beautiful islands of Bacuit and Miniloc in three different ways: by scuba diving with Palawan Divers, by freediving with Palawan Freediving, and by sailboat with Palawan Sailing. What more could you ask for?
A little history, in the beginning of 2010, Jérôme arrived in the Philippines. Freediver, emeritus diver, and experienced navigator, he molded Palawan Diver diver center to fit his passions, loves, and conception of diving.
The dive center quickly became PADI 5* certified and environmental-friendly—in order to protect the seabed, knowledge and sharing are our best weapons. In fact, by offering dives where you see nudibranchs, seahorses, and turtles all living together in harmony, your instructor and the rest of the Palawan Divers team are naturally transferring their passion for the sea and its protection. Also available are PADI Bubblemaker for kids 8 and up all the way to speciality training courses for Sidemount and Nitrox for the more experienced divers. As far as freediving is concerned, you can trust the AIDA courses, for beginners up to highly advanced lovers of the open sea! With or without tanks, it’s up to you.
The classrooms are adapted to the courses, the staff is completely international, safety is priority, gear is suitable for everybody from freedivers to scuba, and small groups are trained according to levels and loves. In this way, you will definitely enjoy all Palawan and El Nido have to offer!
To give you an idea of what you’ll see: strange corals on the North Rock dive site, thousands of fish in 3 cross currents, and sharks on Destacado Reef. Plus, there are at least 20 more accessible dive sites. The day on the boat goes by like a dream, passing by some of the most breathtaking landscapes you will ever see.
So, to sum up, Palawan Divers have rich and beautiful sites. The center is open year round. The staff is friendly and professional. The gear is of top quality. There is a serious emphasis on safety first and the other priority is the respect for the environment. All this in scuba, free, or sailing. What else can you ask for? Nothing, you say? That’s what we thought.
