Les Heures Saines
Does the name Jacques Cousteau ring a bell ? Well the Marine Reserve named after such an illustrious fellow is but a few minutes away from the dive center Les Heures Saines in Guadeloupe! It is perched high on top of a rocky spur, the Rocher Malendure, facing the Pigeon Islets -the very place that the world's most famous diver wanted protected since 1959!
The whole place is quite heavenly, like a quiet, laid-back retreat. The terrasse opens up on the Bay and the stairs crisscross along the cliff to make way for the classroom, the equipment room and eventually the pontoon. Everything is done so you are comfortable and you feel no constraints : your gear stays on the boat and the (amazing) staff gets busy with it. They literally watch your back!! Safety is indeed one of their first concerns: so much so that Les Heures Saines, back in the 90's, was the first dive center to introduce and teach buoyancy with a BCD in Guadeloupe!
Les Heures Saines is the ideal dive center for training. As a matter of fact, all members of the crew are as skilled as they are passionate about diving. Some of them have been here for over 25 years! They can teach from first-timers up to CMAS Instructor 2 stars... Now that's experience! One of the numerous perks you'll have in diving here is that EVERY morning, an instructor stays dry and runs through theory courses on demand! You can then go diving as much as you want and do a bit of theory at your own pace.
Being so close to one of the best diving areas in Guadeloupe, Les Heures Saines is a privileged place for underwater photographers who are looking for the best mix of dry comfort and diverse marine life.
More perks? They organise daytrips double tank.
The dive center is actively involved in protecting their environment. Last but not least, in order to preserve the coral, wearing long, spearfishing fins and gloves is not allowed in the National Park of Guadeloupe... nothing personal!
Les Heures Saines is some kind of a 'model' dive center, and we'd like you to enjoy it : have fun!
