Diving Port-Cros & Porquerolles marine reserves - South of France

An archipelago of three islands known as the Golden Isles, Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant make for some fantastic scuba diving in this beautiful region of the South of France. Some say those islands have the best diving in Europe... Now that's a statement!

A National Marine Park, Nature Reserve, shipwrecks, scenic drop-offs, diverse marine life and so much more! Divers can access the many dive sites around the islands via dive centers in Hyeres, Bormes Les Mimosas, La Londe Les Maures and Le Lavandou.

There are several shipwrecks to be dived here that are full of history, such as Le Donator, Le Grec and Le Ferrando and the wrecked aircrafts Hellcat and Wildcat amongst others. The most famous dive site is, without a doubt, La Gabiniere: just off Port-Cros, it sports an untouched and unspoiled marine environment.

The marine life on the dive sites here is probably the richest and most varied in continental France! You can expect to see barracudas, nudibranchs, crabs, eels, octopi and multi-colored gorgonian sea fans and sponges, but also big, inquisitive groupers, eagle rays and Mola Molas.
