Diving on the French Riviera on the Cote d'Azur - South of France - Mediterranean sea

Some of the best scuba diving in France is found along the southern coastline or the French Riviera as its fondly known. The Cote d’Azur has a warm Mediterranean climate and great visibility, 30m from June onward, and water temperatures can peak to 25 ‘c in summer months making it a hugely popular French diving destination.

The dive sites of this region stretch from Saint-Tropez to Italy along the French coastline. There are many shipwrecks to be found, so wreck diving is one of the highlights on a scuba vacation here! Some of the best diving centers are found between Saint-Tropez and Cannes in the towns of Ramatuelle, home to the Rubis Submarine and Togo shipwrecks, Saint Maxime in the Var department, with over 50 stunning dive sites, Frejus and its sister town Saint Raphael with their pinnacles, plateaus and rich flora and fauna, especially near the Dramond heads.
