DIVING SHARM EL SHEIKH
Down the very southern tip of the Sinai, Sharm El Sheikh is a dive destination unlike any others. Consider how strategic is its location: right where the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba meet, 'Sharm' has been in the midst of several conflicts and has a genuine political importance. Underwater too the area is very special! People come from all over the world to admire the colours and abundance of sea life here. Check out the Bay of Naama, the Strait of Tiran or the wonders of Ras Mohamed National Reserve and you'll understand how rich the place is! Gorgonian fans, moray eels, Napoleon wrasse, triggers, parrots and lionfish of all kinds, clownfish and their anemones, Spanish dancers and a million nudibranchs, sharks and rays, crocodile fish and stonefish, garden eels, trevallies and batfish, shoals of barracudas, turtles, dolphins... the list is endless!
Today this old fishing village covers over 20 kilometres and keeps on upgrading to offer the best stay and experience possible. If you are in the area it would be a shame to miss it... actually it would be unthinkable to miss this side of the Red Sea!
