DIVING LA MARTINIQUE
A Caribbean island, LaMartinique lies about 450 km to the north east of the South American continent and belongs to the French Antilles. On the Atlantic side, a long coral reef borders the coast. The most famous dive site is without a doubt the legendary 'Rocher du Diamant' (or Diamond Rock), to the south. With impressive caves, arches and trenches, it's a treat! Another favorite is the 'Anses d'Arlet' or Arlet's Coves, probably one of the most beautiful dives you'll ever do... From there you can head to the 'Pointe Burgos', a very fishy site with a drop-off or dive the shipwreck Nahoon near the Cape Salomon.
You never dive LaMartinique just once... you'll definitely want to come back! With its pristine water and its exuberant marine life, you'll be longing for more hovering over the drop-offs, more deep dives, more of it all! It really is a dream come true, just accept it! The water's year-round the right temperature, though you should avoid February to April: it's cyclone season.
